Barcode Scanner to CSV is a free iPhone app that scans barcodes and QR codes continuously, counts quantities, and exports the list as a CSV file for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. No ads, no account, and your scans stay on your device.

Guide

Scan

The camera starts when you open the app (allow camera access the first time). Hold a code inside the frame and it is scanned and added to the list below.

Choose a mode

Switch at the top of the screen. Normal adds a new row for every scan. Count increases the quantity of the existing row when the same code is scanned again.

Use folders

Tap the folder name on the list and choose “New Folder…”. Rename or delete folders in “Manage Folders…”. New scans go into the selected folder.

Export to CSV

Tap the share button on the list to create a CSV file of the selected folder. Save it to Mail, AirDrop, Files or Google Drive, and open it in Excel or Google Sheets. The file name includes the folder name.

Fix quantities or type a code

Tap a row to open its details and change the quantity with + / −. Use the + button on the list to type in a code that will not scan.

Settings

Open the list menu → “Settings” to change the scan interval (0.2–3 s), vibration strength, beep and volume, and the CSV operator, location and line endings.

Camera controls

Use the zoom buttons (0.5×/1×/2×, depending on your iPhone) or pinch to zoom. Turn on the flashlight and adjust its brightness. Switch to the front camera with the camera button.

Is it free? Are there ads?
It is completely free. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no account.
Which barcode types can it read?
19 types, including EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, ITF-14, Codabar, GS1 DataBar, QR, Micro QR, PDF417, Data Matrix and Aztec.
Can I get my scans into Excel?
Yes. Tap the share button on the list to export a CSV file and open it in Excel. It is UTF-8 with BOM, so it opens cleanly. Numbers and Google Sheets work too.
Does the quantity go up when I scan the same item again?
In Count mode, yes — each scan of the same code adds 1 to that row. In Normal mode every scan is a new row.
Does it show product names or prices?
No. It reads the code value and format. Use “Search the Web” on the detail screen to look a value up.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Everything is stored on your iPhone only. Deleting the app deletes the data.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Scanning, counting and creating the CSV file work without a connection. Sending by email or searching the web needs one.
Which devices are supported? Android? iPad?
iPhone with iOS 18.0 or later. Android is not supported.
The same code gets recorded twice.
Make the scan interval longer in Settings (0.2–3 seconds). A countdown shows when the next scan can happen.
Can it scan in a dark warehouse or on a high shelf?
Yes — use the flashlight with brightness control, the 0.5×/1×/2× zoom buttons, or pinch to zoom.
Can I scan with the front camera?
Yes. Switch cameras with the camera button to scan an item in your hand while looking at the screen.
Can I turn off the beep or vibration?
Yes. Settings let you change vibration strength and turn the beep on or off and set its volume. The beep is silent when your iPhone is in silent mode.
Can I add an operator name or location to the CSV?
Enter them in Settings and Operator and Location columns are added to the CSV.
Can I keep separate lists per aisle or room?
Yes. Create folders and export each one as its own CSV.
Does it sync between iPhones?
No. Export a CSV on each device and share it.
Can a company deploy it to many iPhones?
Yes, through Apple Business Manager. No accounts or servers are needed.
